I HAVE A
I CURRENTLY LIVE IN
I love the way it feels to make the first mark on a canvas. It’s usually a fast, dramatic swipe of paint. Music on. Jammin’ to anything from Billie Eilish to Alabama Shakes, from Drake to Spotify’s “Piano in the Background.” Singing and dancing is a common occurrence when I get into a painting groove. I find that my grooves often happen when it’s sunny outside. My kittens are usually close by observing. If not observing, then biting the end of my paint brush.
The relationship between organic and geometric shapes excites me. Add some bloody reds or deep blues and I’m set. And while I’m known for drips and triangular scaffolding, I don’t want to be defined by one style or painting. I paint what I feel so as I change, my paintings are bound to change, too.
I simply want to create things that people can connect with. To inspire people to explore art, composition, color, and maybe themselves.
